National Ugly Christmas Sweater Day

December 20th was National Ugly Christmas Sweater Day!  Customers could stop in any of our locations to enjoy the variety of ugly sweaters our staff modeled.  We celebrated by serving hot drinks and Christmas snacks all day!

United Way Fundraiser

We had some fun with our internal United Way fundraiser with a little tailgating party! Employees who donated wore their favorite team's apparel and jeans. We also treated them to pizza and other fun tailgating snacks, and we shared some of those snacks with any customers that stopped by.

Rise'n Shine Breakfast

We hosted the The Greater Freeport Partnership's November Rise'n Shine Breakfast. Thank you to everyone who attended!

Hunger Luncheon

Some of our staff attended the Freeport Area Church Cooperative Hunger Luncheon on Thursday, December 12th. Proceeds from this event helped with efforts to feed the hungry and shelter the homeless. We are happy to support this event and thank everyone who supports and volunteers to help those less fortunate in our community!

Festival of Giving

Once again Forreston State Bank teamed up with Big Radio for the 7th annual Festival of Giving. If you dropped off a toy off at our Freeport or Kent locations by the end of the day on December 12th, we matched it with another toy.  We delivered over 60 toys! Thank you to everyone who dropped off a toy!

Christmas in the Country

Our Forreston branch celebrated Christmas in the Country with snacks, giveaways, raffles, food drives, and toy drives! 

Food Drive Gift Winner

We hosted a Food Drive from December 2nd – 12th at our Forreston location.  A raffle ticket was given for each canned food item that was brought in or you could buy a ticket for $1 – donations were split between the Forreston Food Pantry and Forreston Lion’s Club Food boxes. Jen Gruhn was the winner of our raffle basket that was valued at $250 - which included a $100 Visa gift card!

HCC Lagacy Gala

We purchased a table and had staff attend the Highland Community College Legacy Gala in support of the HCC Foundation on November 2nd. The Foundation exists solely to provide funding for educational purposes; to assist in developing and augmenting the facilities and carrying out the educational functions of Highland Community College.
