Shop with a Cop

Robert and Sherri Johns participated in Shop with a Cop 2023! They had a heartwarming experience as our officers joined local children for a special shopping spree. Witness the joy, laughter, and priceless smiles! Shop with a Cop is a wonderful tradition that has created lasting holiday memories!

Hometown Christmas

Some of our Poplar Grove staff participated in downtown Belvidere's Hometown Christmas celebration! Despite the weather, there was a great turnout! They were thrilled to see so many people out and about celebrating within the community!

Holiday Meal Box

Terry Musser volunteered at Freeport's drive-thru Holiday Meal Box distribution! The Foundation for Northwest Illinois teamed up with Northern Illinois Food Bank and New Jerusalem Food Pantry of Freeport and held a drive-thru Holiday Meal Box distribution in Freeport. 500 meal boxes were made available to area families. 

Ugly Sweater Day

We celebrated ugly sweater day by all wearing our ugliest Christmas sweaters!

Cookies and Cocktails

We had a fun employee gathering which involved a cookie exchange and some fun holiday cocktails!

Our President and CEO, Betsy Johnson, attended the Smithsonian exhibition, Spark Places of Innovation, presentation in Durand with several other members of our team, Kathy Sutherland and Faith Ackerman!

The holidays have come to an end and the New Year is here, which means people are making their resolutions and others are looking to exploit them. This is just a reminder that setting new goals for yourself is fantastic, but it’s important to know that there are scammers out there that want to cash in on these goals. Unfortunately, it happens in more ways than one. Looking to eat healthier and exercise more in 2024? There are plenty of legitimate apps and websites that can help you track good health habits, but there are also just as many ones that are just there to scam you. Wanting to budget this New Year or better your financials? This is another common New Year goal and scammers are very aware of this. No matter what new website or app might be trying out, always make sure to do your research before jumping right into something that may not end well for you.
