Supporting the Community & Education

HCC Ag Program

We are so thankful for the educational opportunities the Highland Community College Agriculture Program offers to our farming community. We attended the Research Plot Field Day, and we had a great time at the Farm-to-table fundraising dinner!  Wait, is that Danielle from the FSB family?? It sure is! She introduced one of the courses and did a great job!

HCC Research Plot Sponsorship

The Research Plot sign is up! We are happy to be a sponsor of this growing agriculture program.

Community Events

Stockton Chamber > We had staff golfing and volunteering for the Stockton Chamber's Golf Outing. We were also happy to contribute to their silent auction!

Vedra Scramble > We were also an event sponsor for the Vedra Scramble for Education, the sole fundraiser for the Forrestville Valley School Foundation, which provides student scholarships as well as mini-grants to teachers to help fund their special activities and needs in educating our youth.

Eats & Beats

"Eats and Beats" was a 2-day event coordinated by over 20 Freeport area nonprofit organizations. The event featured live music from local & regional bands, as well as a variety of foods prepared by various nonprofit groups. We were a sponsor of this event and had several staff attend and volunteer as well!

More Schools Added!

This year our School Spirit program raised $2135 for the participating schools!

We have added Immanuel Lutheran, Polo, Eastland, and Highland Community College to the list of cards you can choose from!

If you are not familiar with our Show your School Spirit Donation program, here is how it works: Open a Forreston State Bank Rewards, Secure, or Student checking account along with the Show Your Spirit Debit Card, and we will donate $25 to the participating school of your choice.

Already have a Forreston State Bank MasterCard debit card? No problem. Exchange it for a new card and we will donate $5 to your Spirit Card school.

Upcoming Events

We love some Friday night lights!

We got rained out. Let's try this again!

Look for the FSB tent at the Aquin football game on October 25th! Come say hi and pick up some fun giveaways to help cheer on the Bulldogs!
