Keep Your Money SafeOctober is National Cyber Security Awareness Month. Keep an eye out on our social media as we will be sharing many reminders from the American Bankers Association of things that Solutions Bank will not ask our customers. #BanksNeverAskThat Keep Your Money SafeYou get a call, text, email, or letter saying that you won! Maybe you’ve won a vacation or cruise, or the lottery or a sweepstakes. The person you’re receiving this news from is excited and they can’t wait for you to get your winnings. But next, they ask for your credit card number or bank account information saying that in order for you to receive the prize you must pay. They sometimes even ask for the payment in other forms of payment such as gift cards, bitcoin, or cryptocurrency. If you pay a scammer or share information, you lose. There is no prize. Instead, you will more than likely get more requests for money and more false promises that you won big. Unfortunately, scams like this and others are on the rise, don’t ever give out your personal or bank information. If you are questioning if something is a scam or not, just hang up and contact your bank directly. Go to http://solutions.bank/Security-Center to learn about them and how to protect yourself!
