Happy Work-A-Versary Jeff, Scott, Rachel, Shelley, Kerrie, and Becky!
We had staff golfing at the HCC's 27th Annual Leadership Golf Outing!
A few of our staff members attended the Illinois Bankers Association, Women in Banking Conference, in Springfield. They had a great time learning, growing, and networking with other women in our industry! In addition, the IBA accepted professional clothing donations from attendees that were then donated to RISE Springfield.
Some of our staff members participated in RAMP's annual Walk & Wheel-A-Thon at Highland Community College! They also received the Team Spirit Award!
A few staff members were able to attend the annual dinner this week held at the Community Building in Belvidere.
We awarded the New Life Community Center in Forreston a check for the funds raised from our Jeans for a Cause fundraiser. Thank you, New Life Community Center, for all that you do to support the community of Forreston with the food pantry and thrift shop!
October is National Cyber Security Awareness Month. Keep an eye out on our social media as we will be sharing many reminders from the American Bankers Association of things that Solutions Bank will not ask our customers. #BanksNeverAskThat
You get a call, text, email, or letter saying that you won! Maybe you’ve won a vacation or cruise, or the lottery or a sweepstakes. The person you’re receiving this news from is excited and they can’t wait for you to get your winnings. But next, they ask for your credit card number or bank account information saying that in order for you to receive the prize you must pay. They sometimes even ask for the payment in other forms of payment such as gift cards, bitcoin, or cryptocurrency. If you pay a scammer or share information, you lose. There is no prize. Instead, you will more than likely get more requests for money and more false promises that you won big. Unfortunately, scams like this and others are on the rise, don’t ever give out your personal or bank information. If you are questioning if something is a scam or not, just hang up and contact your bank directly.
